"English Language Challenges"

Hello everyone, this time I want to tell you about my experience with English, and how I have been able to approach it through this platform. The online classes have been a challenge for everyone, especially for me since I do not have an english base so this blog has helped me to know new words, personally at the university I have been able to dare to speak in english on some occasions something that before could not perform out of shame or fear. I value having English at university and being able to learn new things since I was not interested in school like now. Blogs have been stressful but funny because they have been a great tool to learn about the lives of my colleagues and thus grow in terms of writing. I would like to handle English better, because I musician, I face people from different countries and have songs in this language every day, so sometimes I cannot understand them, my main difficulty is in terms of the pronunciation of words, I can write and sometimes listen but I can't speak it, so to solve this problem, I will to start to study English this summer and I just need more practice because at home and friends are not interested in learning it and I don't apply it in my routine, just for academic subjects and especially in this field. I would like to strengthen my English in the future as it will help me in my work, in my daily life and if I ever want to travel abroad.

Changes to my study programme

Hello everyone. On this special occasion I am going to talk to you about the changes I would like to propose in my career curriculum. Undoubtely, for any university student studying 5 years is a real martyrdom. Imagine the more we study musical performance at the University of Chile, who studied at least 9 years to obtain a bachelor's degree! It becomes irrational. That is why this point I would be the first one to change in the studies plan. The academic institutions should shorten the career to 6 or 7 years, at least! For this to be possible, a restructuring must be done in the curriculum which is divided into two different stages, a basic one and a higher one, so to shorten the number of years it would leave the fundamental branches such as harmony, Counterpoint and Analysis in the first years of the basic stage. Another important thing to do is relocate the spaces and classrooms to study quietly, in fact, the vast majority of students desire this.

Finally, I would like us to have branches of the audiovisual area, as with the issue of the covid19 I discovered the need to make art from digital platforms. Nowadays, Is very necessary. I wish this could happen soon! The next generations really appreciate this improvement, because, nowadays, all the digital technology is the future. Greetings.

Four-legged friend

Over the years, I have been able to see many pets passing through my home. My family is an animal lover like the vast majority of Chilean families. Personally, I love dogs, especially German Shepherds and Labradors.

As a child, the first pets we had were two Labradors. One was called Wich and the other Coca, who was his mother. Sadly, ill-intentioned people gave him meat with ground glass, so they died a tragic death.

After them I had a couple of German Shepherds who stole our hearts and with whom over the years they filled the house with puppies, so we left some of them and others we gave them to other families so that they could be in good company . In total I have had about eight dogs in my life and two kittens.

Currently, I only have one German Shepherd dog that comes from the same lineage as the others. Her name is Gaby and she is very naughty and affectionate. It fills me with joy every time I get home because the love that he gives me is incomparable. He jumps with happiness and throws himself into my arms to greet me. Every day before bed I go out to say goodbye to her and say good night haha.

I think it is important to have a pet as they teach us the simplicity of life and unconditional love.

As an anecdote it once happened to me that I went to play for an event, my dog was about five or six months old and had broken everything in the house. So I was telling my friend what had happened. I told him: The Bitch Gaby misbehaved! Suddenly a lady turns around and says to me: And what do you think you're coming to treat my daughter like that ?! Jajajaja it was an epic moment. It may not be a good idea to give the animals personal names.

Ecclesiastes: a book yoy should read in your life

The book that I consider that people should read at least once in their life is Ecclesiastes, this book is one of the 66 books included in the canon of the Bible. The writer of this book, according to jewish tradition, is king Solomon. I like this book because of all the books of the Bible, I consider it the one that is closest to people, and I am a fan of theology.

Ecclesiastes is abput a Preacher who describes his disappointment in trying to find peace without regard for God. The Preacher explains that the cares of life, such as wealth, wisdom, popularity, and pleasure, end in disappointment if ther become our reason to living. Finally, the writer reaches a conclusion: ¨Fear God and obey his commands, because that is the duty that we all have¨ (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

I would recommend this book, because most people criticize the Bible, without before having studied it in depth and with a willing heart, it is a book that can radically change your life.

The best concert

Hi friends, today I want to talk to you about the best concert I´ve been to so far.

This was about 4 years ago (2016). The Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago was at the Cathedral of that city. The musical repertoire to be interpretated was P.I.Tchaikovsky symphony no.6. the truth is that I had never heard her in my life and I was so amazed at her that when I remember that moment it makes me nostalgic.

Piotr was a Russian composer of the romantic period. he is the author of one of the best known works of ballet such as Nutcracker an Swan lake. Symphony no.6 is the last of this wonderful composer. the premiere 9 days before his death in Saint Petersburg on October28, 1893.

I remember that the music was sublime and melancholic, full of colors and nuances thath filled the cathedral. I was very happy because I was with my girlfriend and I felt that the music touched my heart. That was the most special because I felt that the movements faithfylly represented the character of love and a contrast between life and death.

I will never forget that moment. I think it was the first time that I got so excited about music and since then Tchaikovsky is my favorite composer.

The Country I would like to visit

Hello, today I want to talk about the country I want to visit, Austria. This country calls me attention because it has a lot of nature, lakes, forests, mountains, fields and a great diversity of flora and fauna, and because it has one of the best music universities in the world, the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

How little I know about Austria is that it is very cold and full of lakes. Near it are also the Alps. This country is one of the most economically stable in Europe, it is also an important tourist reference. It is very expensive to live in the city of Salzburg because it is the richest in the country, but the university tariff is very cheap.

There I would like to study music, a magister in musical interpretation. In addition, I would like to tour the city. Also, I would like to live in a spacious apartment near a lake, so that I can rehearse smoothly and without the neighbors bothering.
